Long suffering parentals provide bail-out loan to buy owen amplifier. owen is beside himself upon buying said amplifier. zoe is not beside herself upon hearing said amplifier. all the time. seriously loud. it’s awesome.
So I got the amazing amplifier for far too cheap from the brilliant PMT in salford. Its an Engl Thunder 50 and it’s got loads of lovely valves that glow and keep my bum warm in cold practive rooms. It’s too heavy and makes my arms hurt, but it’s too small so it’s like it’s lying to me. In a pickle? no. It’s a small price to pay. Paying off currently. Pay rise has helped (ohmygodwhatareyouseriousthatsamazing).
Er… Considering further enhancement of my academic portfolio, we shall see.
The flat is very cold, so I bought an old copy of Gran Turismo 2. It hasn’t helped. really.
Had an extremely stressful and unnecessary interview today, it really threw me off my game. No TV today, have to email. Band recordings sounding good. Starting to make music again OH WHAT? and it’s relaxing.
That’s all folks, I don’t like to wind down to a natural close, it upsets my sensibilities.

So. Still Ill. Swelling has gone down, normality is returning to my neck region. Perhaps it was mumps, perhaps it wasn’t.
Being Ill for ages has meant I’ve been able to control Ableton with my iPod, which is quite cool, but not cool enough to keep me interested for long enough. I’ve watched hundreds of hours of daytime tv, and read every single post on Engadget twice. BAD times indeed.
Just got the Danananakroyd single, and it’s totally super brill cool. I also almost bought a Battles t-shirt, but couldn’t decide whether I liked the colour. I also also almost bought a mini Kaoss pad to attach to my guitar and look a bit daft, I don’t think I’ll win it on eBay, and my wallet really hopes that I don’t.
I’ve just started watching The Wire, finally. IT’s really good. BUT, I can’t watch any more because Zoe’s gone out to spread our infection. My turn tomorrow, provided work allow me to go back… watch the spaces…

Life is extremely slow. The band has grinded to a hault because all our amplifiers have packed up, which is extremely frustrating. We have 2 songs being mixed at the moment, and are expecting to have them up on the myspace pretty soon.
I have a ‘viral infection’, which is totally miserable. Listening to the new Guns’n'Roses album this morning has certainly not improved my mood. It’s not good. Made mushroom soup for lunch, which Zoe says was totally delicious. We went shopping in tescos, it was completely miserable and is in one of the worst places in the world; Salford Shopping City. My boss rang to tell me that christmas has been cancelled because of the news of the world… I wasn’t really paying attention, but it sounded extremely dull.
This afternoon I will watch the new Narnia film. Hopefully it’ll be totally dreadful and tacky, so I can cringe myself back to good health. Zoe doesn’t want to watch Battlestar Gallactica which is TOTALLY unfair.
I got paid today and it feels just as bad as when I didn’t have money. I still can’t afford anything, I’m still not doing anything exciting and I still have (according to the internet) Aids or Cancer… self diagnosis is the BEST.
